12/9/2023 0 Comments Project cars 2 vs assetto corsaIf you want the best simulator, and just that, then you should go for rfactor2. And regarding content acc is limited you know, as it represents one category, which btw ain't precisely neither the best and purest nor the most heart pumping (GT3 cars are artificially assisted cars, borderline synthetic and lifeless on the feeling they transmit to the driver). If that not enough, the number of tracks is overwhelming compared to acc.ĪCC has good traction control simulation (lol) and suspension model, but the tyre model is just as terrible as it was in the first ac, if not more. Its tyre model simply is leaps and bounds beyond that of acc, not to mention with the street cars. Still, PC2 rallycross content is goood good enough. ![]() Originally posted by EF_Neo1st:(even Dirt Rally 2.0 is better on its Rally Cross content than PC2).But not on its physics, which still stand as the best out there. ![]() Grab Project Cars 2 if you dont mind not being punished by bad driving behavior and not really developing your skills properly while thinking you are doing good or really good. Grab yourself ACC, rFactor 2 and Kart Kraft if you want to learn better for all other simulators. I blew up my tyres before the middle of the first lap and I was locking tires everywhere, a thing that without TC and ABS at PC2 I never did and I was driving completely wrong and not being punished by that.Īfter learning better at ACC I was also able to improve overall at other sims too and the difference in driving behavior is clear like night and day, even if I am still slow and need to learn and improve a lot. I am still slow, but Project Cars 2 sure feels like ACC with a lot of assists on (but assists that dont slow you down), what lead you to bad driving behavior.Īt the first video I was driving like I was used to drive at Project Cars 2:Īnd you see. still, a lot better than how I used to drive at PC2) Do I stand a chance? You can start driving as bad as this:Īnd not become a fast driver but do this kind of time driving like that: I am interested more in the online multiplayer aspect of both games. I will never buy a wheel and since a cheap controller is the only thing I have, can someone give me some pointers as to which to get, PC2 or ACC? Also, I have no interest in modding. However I have no idea what ACC will be like even though I have read the reviews saying it makes PC2 look like arcade. In PC2, I had a good deal of trouble driving with a controller but each track was managable, given a few days of practice. I found PC2 to be hard and really needing a lot of repetition to barely win a race. I have a controller and have played Dirt 3 and PC2 in the past. Originally posted by Biscuit:I know I am making a ridiculous comparison especially comparing with Dirt 3 as well but I wanted to know how difficult ACC is. PC2 is made to be more accessible to sell more, these other games not so much (still, DR 2.0 is also very accessible to controller users, but will also punish you more for wrong driving behavior than PC2).Īs your starting point, PC2 have a lot to offer, the others have less content or less diverse content.Īs learning, all others have a lot to offer, PC2 can also teach you but will depend more on your previous knowledge of driving and you watching out for your driving behavior (as PC2 will not punish you so much for braking too hard, for punching brakes and throttle, for using too much throttle, turning the wheel too much, too hard or jerking the wheel, not as much as all the other games I listed). If you want more content for a lenient but "good enough" for a beginner (but that may lead to a lot of bad driving behavior), go for PC2. (even Dirt Rally 2.0 is better on its Rally Cross content than PC2). If you want the best and closest physics to reality, with less content, go for ACC, rFactor 2 and Kart Kraft Good driving behavior and knowledge work on both, but PC2 will be a lot lenient on your mistakes and may lead you into bad driving behavior that will not translate well on more serious simulators like ACC, rFactor 2 and Kart Kraft. If you want an experience that will teach you better by showing each and every mistake you make, so you can improve from there, go for ACC. ![]() If you want more content only, go for PC2. ![]() Originally posted by Biscuit:A few last questions - Does ACC have more tracks than PC2? If not yet, will future DLCs be free for me if I purchase the base game now? I know now that ACC has only GT in career mode but will it include more later? It would be nice to have wider variety of cars, instead of only GT.
